Repair dents and paint
I got quoted HK$6,000 to repair for the following damage at Amazing Touch in HK.
Is that reasonable? |

i think $6k is expensive...though the scratch involves at least 2 pieces. a few yrs back i got my honda fixed at a price of $2-3k for a similar scratch. maybe the charge for bmw is higher?
i won't hesitate to recommend the service of amazing touch, they fixed my rear bumper and a minor scratch at the front bumper nicely at a price of $1k, though it doesn't involve any metal work. and the best part of it is u can get the car back in the same day. but seriously 6k is a bit too much IMO |

from the photo i can see there are 3 parts involved,
front bumper - scratches, re-painting the whole part, hk$1800~2000 max rear fender - deformed metal and re-painting, hk$2000~3000 max rear door - deformed metal? can't see clearly from the picture but just re-painting will cost you hk$1200 already $2000+$3000+$1200 = hk$6200, then 20% discount if you are doing it at 1 shop, hk$5000 would be reasonable imo the wheel - seems like no painting at all, so just polishing touch up, ask them do it for free |

sorry to revive an old thread, but uh, any recommendation for a body shop?
Here's the story: driving from tsing yi to Hong Kong (East tunnel), going around 90-100. Was following this taxi, and suddenly, its license plate falls off, and bam, it hits my bumper with me going at 100 km. Now the bumper is not dented, but a lot of paint has been chipped off. Needless to say, I couldnt get the license plate of the taxi since.. well it fell off. It also went off at TST. So guys, please recommend a bodyshop. Was quoted 2000 for a bit of paint chip, which I thought was a bit much... thoughts? |

Came to this post to look for a good and reasonable repair shop in Kowloon area... got into a minor traffic incident the other day where a careless driver behind me rear ended my E90 and left a very minor scratch on my bumper.
Still want it fixed though although it is not too conspicuous! Any info appreciated! cheers |
