Minor windshield chip repair
I noticed a few threads on this sort of thing, but none that got at my real question. I've got a couple chips on my windshield from highway rocks - nothing large enough to cause major concern or require repair, and nothing is spidering at all, but at least one chip is deep and jagged enough that it catches my drying towel, wiper blade, etc. If nothing else, it prematurely wears the blade, causing a stripe.
Looking into options, it seems Geico is actually pretty cool about waiving deductibles if you opt for repair, presumably to avoid later replacement claims when chips and cracks spider, which is nice. But I also know there are some epoxy-based kits you can get online pretty cheap - has anyone ever used one? What was your success? I'm thinking something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Windshield-You...indshield+chip I really wouldn't mind having Geico repair it free, but $10 to avoid an appointment and whatnot seems like a good deal if such kits work respectably well.
