Flapping sound from tyres?
I have recently noticed, that I have a sort of flapping sound coming from what I think my front right tyre. It is hard to describe the sound, but if I didn't have rfts, I would have thought I had a flat tyre. (did check the pressure and all is good)
Last week, I had my wheels aligned. I think this is when I first experienced the sound. Could it be uneven wear due to wheels being misaligned before or do you reckon it could be the wheel bearing or differential? Thanks.

I am having my tyres replaced with non-rfts (goodyear f1 asymmetric 2) on friday. Will see if the sound is still present.

Could be, but replacing tyres will fix it, right?

My runflats were making all kinds of noises before I had them replaced.....The right rear was making a "squeeking" noise almost like rubber on rubber...it turns out it was beginning to deteriorate from inside....My guess is that it had been "run flat" at some point in its life before I got the car.
I do like, and have gotten used to the run flats...so I got another set (had to get all 4 due to the all wheel drive, but I was due anyway...can you say expensive?). Price wise, you can find run flats for about the same as conventional tires... I think your noises will go away with the new tires. mine did!.... have you jacked the car up and spun the suspected wheel by hand to be sure its not loose lug nuts, or something rubbing on the brake/tire/wheel assy?....also check side to side play by making sure the wheel assy is tight. (though you just had an alignment and Im sure they would have told you of any issues....but this would rule out anything they may have missed while doing the alignment...they do loosen and adjust the tie rod ends and other nuts and bolts down there....) The only thing I could think of that would make a "flapping" sound would be the fender liner. If it gets loose or ripped at the bottom somehow, the wind will push the bottom of the liner to the ground and back and that will create a flapping sound that will increase with speed.
