Launch at 4k, shift to 2nd at 6k, shift to 3rd at 6k, shift to 4th just before redline.

You have a 12 second car, you just need to knock your 60' down.

Power drops so fast on our cars, you're out of the powerband near redline. I thought you were auto, you launch at 4k? how? Also, have you tried a 2nd gear launch? If traction is that bad, it could help. |

I wouldn't do a 2nd gear launch with a manual transmission, all wheel drive car. I'd imagine that would be very hard on the drive train and you would break something. Us auto transmission guys can get away with it as we are pre-loading the drivetrain and it reduces the shock to the driveline.
With only a JB4 G4 on map 5 (with about E40 in the tank) and a DCI, I managed to run a 12.1 in some pretty hot and humid south Florida weather. Link to the info is in my signature.

I had good 60 foot times so I don't think a 2nd gear launch is necessary. I want to try an E85 mix at some point.

Mustang GT 5.0L are FAST on slicks! I know that 5.0L was modded, but even thought... look at how he beats me... and remember I'm running 12.6@107

You would need a whole lot of turbo to catch that guy.

Yes, that makes sense.
By doing thing (take the TQ number at the given RPM and multiply that by the gearing ratio), I guess you ensure that when you shift a gear, the next gear makes more HP/TQ at the RPM where it drops (let's say 4700 RPM) than it does if you are staying in the gear longer (for example, 6500 VS 6200 RPM).
