oil level
I purchased a 2006 325i from a dealership about a week ago and they said that they changed the oil- the counter is at 0 miles and when I reset it it still statys at 0. Along with that when I check the oil level it is in line with min. I added a quart and it didn't move at all, why would this be?

Take it back to them and have them verify the oil level if you're unsure, if they still say its good, have another BMW shop take a look. Don't take a stealership at their word. My guess is you're running below minimum or you've got a bad sensor. In either case, THEY need to be the ones to correct that before it becomes something serious.

It wasn't a BMW dealership, I don't believe they're willing to fix anything after purchase either. Would my best bet be to just change the oil again to verify everything is good. What would cause the milage to be "unresetable"?
