Door handle LED not working

As the title states.. My driver side door LED on the exterior does not work. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I don't think this is a very easy fix. I removed my door handle when I vinyl wrapped my e92 and from what I could tell replacing that led would require cutting the old led off and soldering a new one on. I wish I had a picture of it to explain but the led is soldered to a wire that goes down into the door.
