Passenger restraint system fault
Hey guys,
Just moved over from a turbo S2000 to an 07 SGM E90 335i last month and moving to a car with technogy is different lol. Yesterday, my dog threw up in my back seats and triggered my iDrive to notice a fault as well as having the lights on my dash in regards to the SRS system. I've removed the back seats, cleaned and dried the sensor, but the light still persists. I'm unsure how I would be able to tell if the sensor is bad or just malfunctioning because of the vomit. I just want the light off of my dash as it's quite irritating to see the airbag in my line of sight lol. Thanks for any input and sorry for nub question. I've searched and the only option I see is coding the sensor off. Thanks fellas. Here are some photos: (LOL) |

Even if you corrected the problem, the light will persist unless it is reset with a scan tool. Search your area for a good Indy or buy one of the many available cables+software to do it yourself. I use the INPA k+dcan cable.

Ahh gotcha. Looks like that is next on the list then. Any suggestions on where to look for that? I see lots of links, but so many different types. I appreciate you helping a noob.
