Conflicting Instructions on Forums

Hello everyone, I've been trying to code my 2007 e92 335i battery for a while now(reading forever). The problem is that I get conflicting instructions from different forums on what to do exactly.

I bought an AGM battery and need to recode it and register it.

Now this forum says I should follow this. This was posted on 12-20-2013.(Very recent) http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...53&postcount=2

Now one of the other forums I went to explicitly states I should not do what the above states.

In face the other forum states that you have to change the VO as well. They also talk about resetting the histogram: Here is what one guy there posted is the correct way to do it:

Quote:
Purpose: Changing my 90aH Lead acid battery on my E60 M54 2004 with a 95aH AGM battery.

Steps carried out so far:
1. Replaced the physical battery, perfect exact match.
2. Updated VO using NCSExpert by removing B090 and adding A090 and then performing FA_WRITE to CAS & LMA modules.
3. Update CAS for KLASSE_BATTERIE from 90ah to 90ah_agm using NCSExpert
4. Registering the new battery via Tools32 using MS450S0 (For my M54 engine) file and running the job "steuern_batterietausch_registrieren"
5. Performing Battery Swap and clearing battery histogram via INPA.
My question is which one is correct. Their's seems to be more right because they state you should also change the VO when recoding the battery.

Can someone knowledgeable about this point me in the right direction as to which one to follow?

I just did this last week. I followed the first DIY, but it does make sense to change the VO because if you reset the cas it would go back to the default setting. I think the result is the same either way but changing the VO is the proper way of doing it.
