N55/DCT, some info of this DCT, 600nm max?

I do some research of this DCT, it should be same product of M3 of GETRAG Powershift® 7DCI600 TRANSMISSION

Which is details in descreption of this product:

GETRAG Powershift® 7DCI600 TRANSMISSION

Excellent comfort

Very quick and sportive shiftings possible

So it means this DCT can take 600nm max, am I right? here is the offical website:http://www.getrag.de/en/252

If not same DCT, who knows the difference between 335i/M3?

if that is the case, then we are right at the limit. Of course, the limits are porbably 15% higher as most manufacturers tend to over engineer or under state.

So I am wondering why Shiv's DCT is sliding. Maybe this sliding is caused by high temp of transmission oil only, not caused by strenghth/capability of this DCT.

Or this 600nm is only max for full acceleration in same gear? but not for shifter knock?

It's not the same unit as the M3. When installing the BMW Power Kit, the torque is limited to 430Nm as opposed to 450 for the automatic. It cannot handle much torque without slippage.

So why does BMW tune to Z4 DCT 35is to 500nm torque from factroy?

That has the M3 gearbox. Also, the 335is seems to also have the M3 gearbox.

EDIT: It seems you are right. The gearbox is the same across Z4 35is and 335i coupe DCT (europe version). I am not sure why the torque is limited to 430Nm on the DCT Power Kit.

Getrag

When you go to the Getrag website, the 7DCI600 is not listed, only the 7DCI700. Apparently the 600 is no longer manufactured.
Does this mean that the 2012 Z4 35is is using the 7DCI700?
Or is BMW using a different manufacturer for the Z4 35is DCT for 2012?

Per Shiv himself, they abused it on the drag

The difference is the DCT programming, which explains how the E9x M3 has 295 Ft Lbs of TQ and the F1x M5/M6 has 500 Ft Lbs on the same clutch pack. The "problem" is we're modifying these cars (heavily), driving them aggressively, and NOT changing any of the components -- OEM Clutch Pack, OEM DCT Software.

Naturally, something's gonna give under the increased power. Luckily the software has held together across the spectrum (Highly modded N54/N55 DCTs, Supercharged E9x M3s), but the only current "solution" is installing a replacement OEM DCT clutch pack.
