OMG White knuckling in the rain!! Help!

I just purchased a 08 328i with Run Flat OEM Bridgestones. I don't know how many miles they have on them but they my have 50% of the tread left.

I noticed two things
1) They pull on the highway when I hit any sort of rut or uneven pavement
2) The most important thing is when it rains (temp about 36-45F) and I drive over a overpass/bridge (light colored pavement/concreate) the car feels like it is about to spin out of control. I get this same feeling when I drive over any light colored concreat highway road in the rain. I actually have to slow down to about 40 mph when this happens.

Why is this happening?
Is it the particular tire model?
Is is because they are Run Flats?
Is my alignment off?
Will getting all season non runflat tires fix this?

It can be a number of things. First sounds like your alignment is off. Second sounds like your tires are old and dry rotted if they have that kind of handling in the rain. Run flats also do not help. My suggestion is get new tires (non run flats) and get an alignment done asap.

+1 on the alignment. My E90 was quite squirrely even on dry roads but I'd notice the rear end move sideways a little if I drove over any kind of little bump in the road. Had a local shop do an alignment and all was well.

The stock Birdgestone tires are garbage, especially when it comes to wet roads, etc. With the tires at 5/32" I was able to get the traction control to come on in the rain at 65 mph at stock power levels. That is really disturbing. Seriously, junk those tires and get something worth driving on.

Any recommendations on good all season tires?
I looked around and it appears that j am looking around $700+ range.
Any less expensive options? If so please where please.

Top all season tires would include the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 and Bridgestone Potenza RE970A/S Pole Position.

You have the privilege of having the OEM Turanza. You can repurpose them to something more suited for them, like a white-trash flower pot, or something. They do not belong on a performance car.

Sounds like this has a bit to do with your alignment, and a lot to do with your tire brand/model, but also the tread depth. If your tires are down to the wear bars, it's going to be scary to drive in the rain with them. There are plenty of all-seasons that perform well in the rain. Tirerack's tests and reviews are the best source for comparison.

The outside of my right rear has a good amount of tread wear compared to the rest or the tire. I did bump the right rear parking a few weeks ago then drove 1k miles. I never noticed this amount of wear. I wonder if that could cause that much excessive wear in 1k.

Tires much more than alignment... Around here in the tristate, the RFT's make ruts into rails to be followed. I just dumped summer potenzas for conti dw and the difference is night and day. The conti dw is summer (as I run a separate snow set). If you're only going to run one set of tires, go with the conti dws or one of the two tires Gary mentioned, all 3 are good choices and do not compare to OEM tires that simply give up on bumps.
