Hi all I'm new to the BMW scene and after selling my Evo8 I purchased a 335i which has been to be quite frank nothing but problems since I got it! Anyway the reason for this post is because I purchased a service kit from OPIE oils today and when they searched for spark plugs they could only find ones for a 3.0. The ones they found were these - Denso Iridium Power Spark Plug IKH20. Can someone tell me if they are ok or not please?

Yes the 335i is a 3.0 petrol. Heh.

the "5" comes due to the twin turbo which the 330i does not have. It's the same engine more or less.

Those plugs will be fine.

Cheers mate. I did know the engine was a 3.0 but didn't know wether the spark plugs were correct due to the car being the twin turbo version of the engine.

Anyway hopefully this will sort my problems as I'm sick of going into limp mode when trying to give it a bit of tambo! The car is flashing up codes - 29DO which the new plugs will hopefully sort and 2FBF..................

Could be coil pack or injectors also, welcome to the wonderful world of the 335i

Yeah once I get these plugs home I will switch the coil to see, why oh why can things not be simple?! Lol

Haha it certainly seems like the 335i is a handful, I have a lot of patience but to be honest this car is already testing it

Just the JB4. But previous to that it was going into limp mode if you went threw a few gears hard on the throttle. Have you experienced this too?

Also I recommend OEM BMW plugs unless you are heavily modded where you would go for NGK 5992 Laser Iridium – ILZKBR7A-8G

That's one read I dint really enjoy lol! Question tho, since BMW did a recall on the HPFP would they still agree to replace mine out with warranty? Car a has just ticked over to 60k miles?

The policy is different here in the UK, don't think there is a specific HPFP recall like there is in America.

Ahh ok, I just hope it's something simple as the car runs perfect unless you have the throttle completely open. The only other thing I've really noticed with the car is it seems to be very smoky the whole time but I was putting that down to the cold weather.. Could it be a tell tale?
