I have the 9200 and her indoors has the 9100. Between them I would go for the 9100 never mind the fancy screen on the 9200 the other one seemsore reliable.

Wife has the 3100 in her Fabia and it's great. Not as clear as Bluetooth in the e90 but still impressive enough.

Just about to stick an MKi9100 into my e91 with prof radio

You WILL need a harness though. DON'T buy online, as they expensive. Speak to Parrot's distributor in the UK, Nemesis 01905 720183 who will ship next day for £6 ish plus postage

The only tricky thing you'll need to get is grab power from somewhere. Should be able to do that from the back of the radio also. This should help: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=319976

I added a mobridge unit to my car which gave Bluetooth and ipod link through the factory headunit and worked in the same way as the factory Bluetooth.

I had a CK3200 on a previous car and it worked very well, I would certainly have another if my car didn't already have BT

Do you need iDrive for this to work?

If you've not got iDrive then the easiest way is to change for an OEM headunit with Bluetooth.

If you have iDrive then adding various kit from BMW or others to give Bluetooth is possible.

Retrofitting idrive to a none idrive car is also possible.

O had a parrot ck3100 in my e46 with the correct harness and a connect 2 so it worked on the steering. It worked a treat and if I did not have BT in my current one, parrot is the way I would go without doubt.

Hiya mate is this connect 2 another harness of some sort? Think the use of steering controls would be good

I've had the car ck3200 and the mki9200 in previous kits and while I would say the mki9200 is great bit of kit, the pairing between the blue box and steering remote was flaky to say the least. If it's just the phone kit your after and not the music side, I'd say stick to the Ck3200 and know it'll always work!

Why don't you buy a HU with built in bluetooth?
One is on the forum for £275.
Add a mic, clip and wire and you will have oem bluetooth.
Sell yours for £100.

Did you feel that oem bt kit sound better than aftermarket?
Or you felt no difference.

There is no sound quality difference between the mobridge and OEM kit. I've been told the call quality from the other side is the same too.

Operation for the telephone is also identical, the only thing different is I now get text messages but I think thats a combox only feature. I don't think the none drive head units will display text messages.

Sound quality through the iPod link is also identical as far as I can tell. It's a lot easier for me to navigate through my collection though now. This is due to me having about 45gb of music. If I had less music then the mobridge does the job perfectly.

I was going to sell the mobridge unit but I'm going to keep it incase my next car doesn't have bluetooth. It cost me a fair bit and its worth next to nothing on the 2nd hand market. It's compatible with VAG, bmw, mercedes, Land Rover & Porsche so it could be useful to me again.
