if I had a dollar for every time someone asked about this mod lol... oneighty which is a shop in brooklyn used to do it, at least that what I was told on the phone and very few members are willingly to do it because of the risk involved. another option is to get a brand new m3 cluster and have it coded for your car! def an expensive option tho . I would also like to do this mod tho!! after seeing orange on my cluster for the past 4 years I am sick of it

Yeah I almost had them do it for me a while back, they must of messed up on a cluster or figured it wasn't worth the risk. But yeah m3 cluster swap is way to expensive. The thing is using that DIY link is also so risky we might have to be just stuck with the orange

Someone in queens did this for me. I sent him the link to this thread so hopefully he responds. He did a great job on my cluster.

i did it on mine and a few others but its really tedious and risky, i used to charge $120 but that wasnt enough to make it worth it for me and any more wouldnt make it worth it for the customer, its one of those mods i only like doing on my own car (in this case a friends car too)

Check out my ig. Mi2wilson. I have a picture on there. Scroll to about a year ago for the pic. I added bimmian red needles and M3 surround rings. Swapped it out for M3 cluster now but loved the set up

Did this mod couple of years ago
  • Make sure to use luminous paint for needles
  • Clusters are not as bright as they seem in pictures (even with white painted background)
  • Successfully swapped all LEDS but fuel guage section does not light up for some reason..so I guess you can say its part of the risk
  • Does add a different style ( you can swap out guage styles as well, someone on the forums made a custom font on the gauges)
