Service warning light ?
I have a 2006 330i e90 162K, I have a service warning light coming on with a few 100 miles to go. I can't figure out what particular service need is coming due. I have gone through the service indicator system that you push the start button, then odometer post, then scroll through the different items such as filters, oils, brakes etc. and none of them show any mileage that reflects the mileage for the service warning. I see the yellow car on the lift icon, but it doesn't say what the car needs. I have done all of the service on my car for the past 5 years. I have a good Innova scan tool and I can't find it on that either. (I may not even know how to use this properly)
Any help on what the car needs or how to find it? LQ |

Maybe a time based service item?

Don't know if your car has the same but I asked myself the same question until I found out that there is a warning light that is time based and that I can set to advise me that my pollution control is due for example.

You are using the wrong menu. Use the turn signal stalk toggle to toggle to the service menu, then press the side switch to select, then use the toggle to toggle thru the various services to see which one is due. If none are then it is the 30,000 mile inspection.
