Hey all,

I bought my e90 couple of weeks ago from a trade in at a Dodge dealership. Car has been great, 1 owner, CPO etc... But I've noticed car pulls slightly to the right when driving on the highway. So I went and got it aligned, they told me this is the best they can do. I've attached a photo of the reading.

They got rid of the pulling to the right for the most part(unless you really look for it, you can't notice it) my main concern is uneven wear on the tires. At this point I don't know if it would be worth trying to fix this or let it be since I'm happy with the way it drives?

I'd probably get it aligned again somewhere else.

There's no reason they can't get the rear camber the same on both sides. You might want to remove the camber pins in the front and have them set both sides around -1 degrees.

I would go to another place to have the alignment done, maybe for that matter even a BMW dealer. Something to consider though, pulling to the side of the road where there is natural road camber is acceptable, but pulling to one side on a level road is not ideal, however, if it is pulling to the slow side of the road, in other words, not to the opposite side of the road that is better than the other way around.

In the end, there is no reason why these cars should not run perfectly straight on a decently level road with only a slight indication of wanting to follow any natural road camber...

It honestly doesn't bug me much since it's very slight pull to the right discoverable at highway speeds. My main concern is uneven wear on tires...

Hopefully the Dodge dealership understands BMWs. BMW alignment specs usually call for 180lbs of weight in the drivers seat and 50 pound weight in the passenger seats (or some derivation of that - i.e. weight in the seats).

Some alignment machines account for it in the setup of the car on the machine. It might be best to have a dealer who does it own alignments have a look at it.

With the alignment being out of spec to this extent tyre wear will be an issue - best to have it redone so that it is within spec, and as per the method above. I let my BMW dealer check and adjust my car's alignment at its last service and it was spot on when I got the car back - still is almost 2 years later! And, my tyre wear is perfectly even, especially on the rears...

We'll I took it to the dealer and they're all within spec now... So shop clearly clearly didn't know what they're doing. Will go back ask for refund.
