E90 Parking Light malfunction?

This past week I got a notification on iDrive about a left side low beam failure. No big deal as I replaced the bulb and it went away. The next day I got a notification of right side "Parking light malfunction". However, my car is a sedan, and the only reference I ever see of a parking light is on coupes. Is the "parking light" just a different coil on the low beam bulb? I have regular halogen lights.

Parking light is the corner light in the front or rear of the car when your parking lights are on. Turn your parking lights on and walk around the car and see if any are out. If not. Then turn on your hazards and do the same. If all bulbs work then I'm at a loss
