JB4 Questions

I am looking to purchase a jb4. I am looking at both new and used. The new ones listed on Terrys site are listed as PNP(plug n play). I noticed that he also sells the pnp harness upgrade http://www.burgertuning.com/pnpharness.html . If a jb4 doesnt have the pnp harness, is it that hard to install?

Am i correct in assuming that the new ones he sells have that harness built in, since they are listed as pnp. If purchasing used, does anyone know how old the jb4 harness must be to not have the pnp harness on it originally? I am only looking at purchasing jb4 g5 with iso, so im hoping all of those have that harness originally. Sorry for so many questions, just trying to educate myself before dropping 4-500 bucks, lol

If you buy the one that is $479 the N54 JB4 you will be fine. The harness is for older models that you had to pin everything into. If you buy the new one it comes with the plug and play harness. So no worries.

I would just buy it new. Get the USB cable for free firmware updates. It's an easy install and the best $500 you will ever spend on your car.

The link is a harness upgrade. meaning, unless you have a pin-out harness already its going to cost you 330 bucks. On top of the 150 for the G5 board. which is the same price as a new JB4 G5. Pinout harnesses are not hard to install but take more time. (30 minutes vs 5 minutes) Very old school if you see any pinout harnesses.

buying new supports BMS and you get Terrys email support. I would look for jb4's that were recently purchased and want to sell. To ensure you are getting the latest firmware and harness
