Trim Tool Recommendation

Can anyone recomend what type of tool (s) to use when removing interior trim. I see on e-bay some are nylon and some are plastic. I'm looking to buy a general set that will work for most trim.

Garage List
I just used this one when pulling my trim apart:

http://www.amazon.com/Pro-Fit-Intern...qid=1391193970

However, the price for shipping is outrageous now. It was $10 shipped before.

Here's the exact same set for less than half the price and should be easy to find at local Harbor Freight stores: http://www.harborfreight.com/5-piece...set-67021.html

These sets really do make getting the interior trim out a million times easier.

Thanks for the link! This will be useful when I decide to wrap my trim again.

I used my hands.

I think this forum makes it seem like they're very brittle pieces. They're not. I've taken mine of multiples times without a single hitch. These are quality parts. Take your time, feel out where the connector points are and slowly pull.

I did my interior with my hands as well. When my brother wanted his done I grabbed a set of trim tools since I was at Harbor Freight anyway and it was six bucks. It just makes the job so much easier - you wedge the tool in around one of the posts, apply a bit of leverage, and the piece comes out smoothly. It becomes a sixty second job for the whole interior.

Interesting. Though since I know where the pressure points are now, I don't think it'd be any faster for me.

You are right I am in Toronto so my best bet is e-bay, and it looks like its best to go with plastic. I do like those 5 pc. set though. Thanx to all who replied

+1 pretty sure you can find a cheap set on ebay. i mean theyre plastic tools, nothing that can go wrong with a cheap set. nor is there anything special about expensive ones.
