Half engine - 30ff problems - logs added
Hi guys. This past week here in Atlanta we had some pretty bad weather. I was involved in a minor front end impact (5mph) and busted my right headlight and bumper. I thought the damage was limited to cosmetic until the next day when I went to pick up my car.
A little backstory on what happened during the slipping and sliding…my cars front bumper went over the top of a curb but doesn't appear to have damaged the underside of the intercooler. And there was a fair amount of redlining the throttle while i was trying to gain control of the car. Could the high boost pressure blown anything apart that I'm not seeing? Upon driving home I had the half engine light pop up, as well as the SES light. I took the JB4 off and went to have it scanned at my local indie shop. a couple codes for o2 sensor came up as well as the 30ff code. Ive checked all the problematic vacuum lines that i know of, checked all the connections from the intercooler and charge pipes, and still nothing. I looked around the turbos and one of the o2 sensors appeared to be a little loose. can the o2 trigger a 30ff or is that only boost related? any help would be appreciated. and yes I've used the search feature before anyone chimes in. I reinstalled the JB4 so I could rescan it and add logs. Now I have a "3100 low boost mode engaged-cel displayed" ![]() ![]() Last edited by Bleach8484; 02-05-2014 at 02:07 AM.. Reason: added logs |

The o2 itself wasn't loose, I checked under the car after posting this… The wires coming out of the o2 looked a little loose, put felt tight when I tugged on them.
I think that code may of just been lingering from when I had the JB4 on there. Also the rear diverter valve seemed to have a little play in it when I was going over all the vacuum lines. |
