Cobb and e85?

Is there anyway to use e85 with the cobb to get better power? I have an e85 station close to my house so I'm leaning towards jb4 now unless cobb can also use e85. Anyway to do this?

Really this has been covered extensively. You can get OTS maps for E85/premium blends or you could get protuned.

I did search and all I found was a guy running it w the race map and another post saying "I see alot of activity with e85 maps... and I saw that Cobb will not be releasing OTS maps for e85. "

So I thought I would ask before I buy the cobb or jb.

I'm not familiar with tuning a won't be able to make my own map. Is there a map on the cobb (not the e30 map) or would protune would be the only option? What's it usually cost?

OTS E30 maps have been available from cobb for about a year and a half now.

Thanks but that map requires fbo right? I'm just going with dci and a tune so trying to figure out my best option between cobb and jb4.

As far as I know, there isnt an OTS map available for non fbo cars. You should hit up Jake at PTF to inquire about doing a custom tune for your car to fit your needs.

No point on using E85 when your only mod is a DCI.

You're going to need a Dyno PROtune... Using the OTS Maps are designed for FBO cars and the boost curve that map is running will kill the turbos if you still have the OEM catted DPs in.

E85 can offer significant gains, regardless of mods, over pump gas (and in most cases, over Race Gases up to 109 octane). The most important part of the tune, is making sure EGTs, back pressure and Fuel Trims don't become an issue if the only mods on your car the tune & intake.

Not to take any digs, but most people stop around 40% ethanol blends because long term reliability of the OEM low pressure pump. And at your mod level, it would be a much more effective mod to get an FMIC before upgrading the Fuel Pump.

We can do custom tuning for your car. We have extensive experience tuning cars running ethanol blends, everything from FBO hybrid turbo cars to tune + DCI only cars.
Pricing is $250 per map. Pricing includes any additional re-tuning for future bolt-ons, if you choose to go that route.

+10000 this is what you need to do. PTF works with you and dials your car in just right. Great customer service and if you have a Cobb AP, there really is no other substitute. Fell in love with my car all over again after I got my custom maps.
