CCC screen swap (Makkann!)
I've had a look, but can't find anything that specifically answers the question.
As I've explained previously seems to be a mish-mash of CCC and CIC, as I have the new controller, only 1 disc slot, but the smaller screen and older style menus. I am wondering if I can swap out just the screen for the wider "Professional" one? What I'd like is the split screen layout. a) Is this physically possible (ie: connectors)? b) Will anything need coding? Cheers Russ |

Russ you cannot.
The graphics resolution output from the business is different to professional. I have never done it personally as I do not want to risk it but my prediction is that it will still give you small screen display on the wider screen or stretched screen.

That sounds sensible enough.
I'm not that bothered, it would have just been a "nice to have". Thanks for the input mate. |

Every time I think I've come to a conclusion, I find more questions....
So, to clarify, this is a CCC headunit...correct? and this is a CCC control knob... So...what I have in my car, is this headunit: and this knob... but my menu system looks like this (on this smaller size screen): I'm sorry for asking what seem to be like the same questions, but I'm really struggling to get my head around how I appear to have a CCC system based on (apparently) CCC parts?! |

You got a right mix up there. Are you sure the car hasn't been messed with in the past?
How does your Nav get the maps? From a DVD disc or a hard drive?

Mine seems a bit of a mish mash aswel, i have the small screen, single cd/dvd player, the ccc controller, my car was built in june 2008 in september 2008 they started bringing in the cic.
Have you got a usb port anywere? Maybe you have the same system as mine but the previous owner has put the new cic controller in?

Yes Makkan, I do.
I have dab radio and USB audio (under the centre armrest) Mine needs the DVD to show the maps, but will give directions and arrows without the DVD. |

Can you not take a photo of your interior (all in one photo) and post here?

Does this one have enough detail? The only ting you can't see is the starter button, but trust me, it's the newer type.

YUP, CIC professional with DAB as you stated. If you have 6NF then you may have combox in your boot as well.

Ok, it seems much better now. Its CCC business but the previous owner upgraded to CIC controller.
Best bet it to take the CIC out and see the connectors at the back.

It was a company car with one owner from new, so doubt very much if it's been fettled with or modified from how it was supplied tbh.
The name on the spec sheet says "business advanced", perhaps this is why. By CIC, I assume you mean the disc drive bit? |

It's weird - they did a bit of a Hybrid LCI - the one I got last week that I took back (the e93) had the old style door mirrors yet had the LCI starter button & climate control panel, that was an 09 car, which is probably the same as yours in a roundabout way.
