Easier way to cleaning mesh wheels?
Ive had 3 sets of mesh wheels but I always dread cleaning them. Sometimes I even pay my brother to clean them. Is there a easier way then by hand & micro cloth and also what's the best product to use for break dust cause that's what I mostly hate about cleaning them

A strong degreaser and a strong pressure washer would help, assuming the wheels aren't anodized wheels or something like that. Then you'd just got back and do touch up. But, it only works with light - medium brake dust on it. Some people use a wheel sealant to help wash it, think of it like wax, protects the wheels and make washing a bit easier.

Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts to detailing, especially mesh wheels. Yes you can wax/seal/coat your wheels to prevent as much dust from sticking but you will still need to clean them. When it comes time to clean them there is no short cut around agitation. Even the strongest wheel cleaners will not fully remove all brake dust from simply spraying on and rinsing off. The trick really is no trick but to have good tools, i.e. an assortment of wheel brushes. For mesh wheels I like using a brush that has a large diameter, such as the 170 Traditional Large Round Glue Brush.
https://www.solobrushes.com/WebCatg1.asp?Cat1ID=1 You will also notice that the 173 brushes are what Larry from Ammo NYC uses. An excellent wheel cleaner to use would be Sonax, P21S, Royal Brown. Royal brown is the cheapest of the bunch but do not use on bare aluminum. Sonax and P21S can be used on all wheels. I prefer sonax ![]() |

Opti-coat them and switch to low dust pads.

I did this before I got my wheels and I've never had to use anything more than a quick clean up with ONR to get them looking brand new.

I have always found the best way to clean wheels was with a toilet brush and good cleaner/degreaser. I find Purple Power works best, but you have to make sure to clean it off within 15 mins or so, or you can etch the finish and get splotchy.
