Sway Bar Links/Tension Rod Bushings?

Hi,

I am curious as to when you should replace the front and rear Sway bar Links? Are these the same think as Anti-Roll Bar Endlinks?

How and when to replace Front Tension Rod Bushings? If I am upgrading to M3 bits in the front and rear, will that be taken care of?

Thanks,

still have my original sway bar links at 125k. don't think they need changing unless you see or hear obvious problems. I could be wrong, wonder if others disagree.

if you buy m3 front control arms, tension strut is just a name for one half of the equation. if you buy the upper and lower control arms, you have "wishbones " and "tension struts " ....but I can't remember which is upper or lower.

Tension strut is the upper (and more beneficial to upgrade) link. Wishbone is the lower link (M3 adds -.7 camber).

I just ordered the full front and rear M3 bits from Offset. The total price was hard to turn down and since I am keeping this car for a long while(like all previous BMW's), it made sense to refresh and upgrade at the the same time for no more money.

Turner recommends replacing the sway bar end links as they are a very common/weak failure. Might order those as well as they are not allot of money for the fronts.

I needed longer front end links when I swapped out to M3 bits and being lowered on coils.

D: If you decide to replace sway bar end links go with Meyle; they're beefier. If you lower the front of your car more than 1" from zsp ride height, you'll probably need longer, adjustable front end links to bring the front roll bar back to proper geometry.

I am lowered about 35mm (highest setting) on Eibach pro street coil-overs. I hear occasional popping front when turning over a driveway.

Does that sound like endlink that are too short now I'm lowered as well? Is there a decent affordable adjustable brand?

Yep, you need longer end links. HPA carries some.
