Hey guys I was wondering if anyone knew somebody who codes near the Modesto Manteca area. Or if someone could let me borrow their dcan cable. Thanks

Where in Central Valley are you located?
There may be some places in Sac where you can get it done but, if you're closer to Stockton/Modesto, it would be just as close to head over to San Jose to get the coding done. I don't know anywhere to get it done in Sac but, if no one here from Sac chimes in, I'm sure you can find a place if you call around to the BMW shops there. In the San Jose area, I'm going to Detail Addict in Santa Clara to get the Alpine B3 transmission flash and some basic coding done but European Auto Works in Sunnyvale did the retrofit flash for the OEM alarm kit that I installed. So, I think there are a lot of places in the South Bay where you can also get the coding done. However, if you're in Fresno, you're probably better off just heading to LA to get the work done there, where I'm sure there is no shortage shops that can do the work for you. BMcoding is a "remote" coding shop. There are other shops and freelancers (some on this forum) who can help you do this. You'll need a laptop, a OBDII cable that you can plug into your laptop, some coding installation software and some tech skills to install the files that they send you. If you've got the equipment, software and tech skills needed to get the job done that probably would be the way to go, if you don't want to drive to Sac, SJ or LA to get it done in a qualified shop. Good luck!

Yea I'm actually in Modesto so if anything I would head over to the bay for coding. My only issue is that with the amount if gas I spend going that far might as well just buy a cable myself since I am normally good with computers and technology. I guess I'll just probably end up buying the dcan enet cable or dcan USB cable.
Anyone know where I can get one cheaper than usual? |

they do it remotely via computer, just ask them you want to code your car and they'll ask you a few question and they'll tell you how the process works after they'll give you the options you have for your car.
