Coding for DP Fix

Hi Guys,

Just wondering whether if the car has a aftermarket DP and the car does not have a tune, can you clear the error code by coding?

If so can anyone help me?

I don't think you can completely code out O2 sensors. Even with the JB4 when you clear the codes, it will return.

You can keep aftermarket dp on and get bms dp fix v3. Then install directly to the dme and you can take the tune out and still sell the car without get a cel for the exhaust.

Sell the car as it is, and if the new owner wants it stock (highly doubt it) just replace it with stock parts.

With regards to the error code, does it only flash on the console or does it put the car into limp mode too?

I'm thinking of upgrading my exhuast for now & put in a tune (either JB4 or Cobb) later on when funds allow...

As mentioned earlier, leave the aftermarket DPs on, fit the Burger DP fix which will stop the CEL and the car is good to go. Then sell the tune separately if you have a buyer for the car who is interested in the tune or someone else looking to buy one for their own car.

Yea there is always someone wanting the tune. I wonder how much is it to put it back to stock dp again??

Id be removing them and the tune.

When you measure it all up.
Sell them for...

JB4 - $400?
AR DP's $700?

Thats $1100 - $450 for dp removal and you still end up $650 better off. Also the buyer will get a stock car which is probably better for them.

Hopefully that all makes sense?

Think it was answered by Kaitan at the top. -"Nah It just throw a code. The car runs like normal."

But why not just get a tune which will cancel out the CEL error + giving you more power by a flick of the switch. You could always just run stock by-pass mode if you don't want power.
