Bluetooth and Aux in after CIC retrofit.
Think am going to do the CIC retrofit on my car as a Xmas present to my self and the car.
Currently I have CCC with aux in and Bluetooth. I use both of these features at lot and reading around it's not all that clear if I'll loose these features after a retrofit. I can do very basic coding my self: changing VO etc, but that's about it... Had anyone got any experiences of how the Bluetooth and aux in features are affected by a CIC update? Cannot afford to do the whole combox retrofit as well so really do need to retain the Bluetooth and Aux in...any advice appreciated!! |

Thanks for the reassurance....
Fully committed now, CIC kit all paid for, have bought a quadlock extender in eBay to make a plug and play emulator rather than hacking my OEM loom, car booked into for a software update at dealers next week, and have a pretty good ideas what coding stuff I need to do....cannot wait Only problem now is having looked into the coding stuff am tempted to get the comb box as well...but not going to try and run before I can walk |

Hi. Been looking to do this for a while but didn't want to hack the existing wiring. Can I ask what extender you purchased and how this was wired into the emulator?

I bought a wiring loom off eBay (cannot remember what's it's called will have a look when I have time) and wired in the emulator.
Quite simple and straight fowards, made fitting the CIC module essentially plug and play. Also when coded my existing Bluetooth and Aux in options works perfectly. |
