Brake Service Indicator

Whats up guys dumb question but on i-drive it shows service is due for my rear brake pads in red and was just wondering if it could wait like 2 weeks for when my car goes into the shop for all my other work? My car still stops fine and there is no squeaking and squealing.. I just was trying to wait to install them at the same time as all my other parts. Thanks guys

Usually it will be fine to wait. It's a condition based sensor and may just go off based on mileage, I can't remember, but with a bavarian technic tool you can reset the indicator if it is one of the mileage based warnings. Do a bit of searching on brake CBS indicator to see if it is just a mileage based light.

Cool thanks man, I am just doing a ton of work in a few weeks when this northeast weather warms up a bit, which included rotors, pads, and ss lines and suspension so I figure if they have the wheels off already might as well do it all at once.. I am going to hook up my bt cable and check it out

It should be fine if you aren't hearing anything right now. The sensor gives an estimate on when you should be out of brake pad life.

I had my sensor tell me 900miles till done, but I drove another 1000 or so without change. The pad still had a bit of life left.
