HELP! replacement bixenon on ebay, will it work for me? clock running out

I'm dying to upgrade my headlights to oem bi-xenons. i am a pre-lci 328i with halogens, so my options are limited.

Assuming i get this and a module, bulbs, and find a lone replacement on the other side, could i install this with some coding at the dealership?

I WANT.

Not tested and 56 bones.
That's a pass for me Alex.

56 bones isnt much risk. Serious question: what's the worse "defect" it could have? other than say not allowing the bulb to light up. adaptive issues? these headlamps are completely foreign to me

The low price point is what would steer me away on top of the not tested warning. There are adaptive headlight motors and your ballasts for the headlight system. They could develop condensation and leak.

The worst that could happen are they could hose your entire headlight electrical system.

Not sure how much a brand-new set of headlights for a non bi- xenon system are, but for a bi- xenon headlight system for an E92, they could run $1200 a piece from the dealer easily.

Go for it if you feel comfortable, but as for me, I would get something from the junkyard from a salvage car for example- at least then I'll know what I'm getting.

Good luck, and I hope it works out for you. Let us know how it goes.

I am not so sure it would even be a direct plug-and-play to be honest with you bro- I think it would be coding etc.

I think you should just buy a set of depo projectors, can anyone else chime in and help this guy out?

I would suggest holding off until more experienced folks in this arena contribute to your thread.

I would avoid too, never know with untested even thought it looks nice and not having broken tabs would lead me to believe it wasn't in an accident (or at least a front end accident)

Maybe wait a little longer and do LCI Xenons!

think i might bite and take it to the dealership to see if they have a moment to inspect it. if i cant get it to work to spec ill throw it back up on ebay for what i paid. i might be dreaming but hey, if it works it would be a hell of a find.

If i wanted to wait and go the LCI route, how different would the process be? doesnt that require changing the entire front end?

Hey it's your car brother, just make sure you have the dealer check them out before you even put them near your headlight system- good luck to you!

Don't waste your time or money. Look at the forums discussing changing from halogen to xenon lights.
