How soon after opticoat can I wash?

I wonder how long I need to wait before washing.
Curing takes 12 hours, but seems that complete cures in 2 weeks?

You should wait 2 weeks minimum for it to fully harden.

I've heard various opinions directly from Opti-Coat reps where some say it's safe to get wet after only an hour or so of curing and others say wait 4-6 hours. My advice, try to wait as long as you can to wash the car with soap (1-2 weeks is best), but at the same time don't be afraid to wash it if it gets dirty as leaving the dirt on there may be even worse. I normally like to keep clients' vehicle 12+ hours at the shop before releasing them, but have done so after only 4-5 hour with no adverse effects.

For just water getting on it, I would recommend you rinse off with decent pressure and blot or blow dry as soon after as you can. As I said above, it should be fine to see water after only a couple hours, fine meaning it won't stain the coating, but with investments like these coatings I'd recommend staying on the safe side as much as possible.

Hope that helps!
