2009 E90 Sport Package with Paddles -> M3 paddle issue - NEED HELP PLS

I'll start by saying that I've read about 6 threads and there doesn't seem to be a consensus, so I am looking for an answer to my specific setup.

My car:
2009 335i with sport steering wheel
Came with the all silver paddles. Push and pull on both sides.

When I removed the airbag and removed my paddles, they have 3 wires (all black).

The paddles that I am trying to put in are the M3 paddles that I purchased from this thread:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=927453

They are the 2-wire paddles terminating in positions 1 and 3.

From what I understand, they should be plug and play, except they aren't. When I plug them in and go into sport mode, they don't do anything. If I plug my factory paddles back in, they work fine.

What am I missing here? I was 99% sure after all the pre-reading that I did, that on a 2009 car that is an auto (steptronic) with paddles (like my car), the m3 paddles were P&P.

So, E90post... HELP!!

Ok. I read about 4 more threads and was able to figure it out myself. I'm going to try and type it out for anyone else that runs into the same issue.

The M3 paddles come with the + wire terminated at position 1 and the - wire (grey with black stripe) terminated at position 3. On the 2009 335i, the ground wire needs to be in position 2, so you need to move the ground wire from position 3 to position 2.

Both positive wires can be in position 1 because the connectors are inverted when they actually plug in. It works properly.

Its 99% pnp. Read my above post while you are looking at the paddles. It will make sense.
