Does anyone one know the part number for the 2010 335i e92 flywheel I've been searching but can't find anything I found one that says DMF134 but not sure if that's it and it's made by luk.

Did you check realoem? Look like the part number is 21207640733. MSRP is $1200 although you can save several hundred by ordering it online from places like getbmwparts.com (BMW of Silver Spring, formerly Tischer BMW)

Yea but I've been looking and most say it's only from 07-09 and mine is a 2010 and 2011 and up are n55 so does that menu 2010 only has a special one for that year?

Go to ECS tuning, enter your car's information, and just browse parts that match your car. They have most pictures too and I received extremely good service every time.

I recently had a clutch job done (went with a OEM 335is clutch from ECS), turns out my clutch was like new but something was wrong with the flywheel. So I ended up having to get a new flywheel too.

Some information for you:
-You have to go with the OEM BMW twin-mass flywheel. Cheapest is around $1000, I needed mine ASAP and my car was apart and I paid $1200 with rush shipping.
-You CANNOT use the LUK or ECS brand etc. since those are only for N54 cars up to January 2009. My car is summer 2009 I think, and yours is a 2010 N54, so you will need the OEM BMW twin-mass flywheel #21207590942.

But doesn't luk make the flywheel for bmw? Yea mine was manufactured on 12/09 but it's a 2010 2011 and up are n55 kinda stressing bout that

Yeah I heard that too, but make sure you get the part # I wrote or it won't fit your late 2009. I wasn't able to find the "LUK" version and had to go with the OEM BMW.

Quick thread jack - how does your new 335is clutch feel and behave compared to your stock 335i clutch? Notice any difference? (Aside from the flywheel issue you were having)

So you went through the same trouble? What year is yours?

Have you guys considered resurfacing? I believe it can be done once before having to replace the DMFW.

Speciality shop can usually do it from $120-160

I also have a 2010 n54 and got my FW resurfaced for ~$50 by clutch masters. Great price and they did a good job.

How many miles did your car have when that was done? And was it with stock clutch or what kind if so did it make any noises?

I'm still in the break in period I'm not pushing the car.
When installing the new clutch/flywheel I also changed the transmission oil (with oem fluid) and installed e46 M3 transmission mounts (which are identical to the stock ones just a little stiffer compound).

Shifting feels smoother, and as far as the 335is clutch, it feels exactly like the stock one with the same weight and feedback.

You can only resurface a twin-mass flywheel that doesn't have excessive play. The twin-mass flywheels have small play from the factory, but after usage the play increases and at a certain point it's too much and cannot be used again.
You cannot know if the flywheel is good until you take it off and try to move it around. In many cases it is possible to machine it and use again.

I bought a new DMFW and out in an ACT clutch. It only held for about 5k miles, after which I had it resurfaced and installed a Spec 2+. Lux doesn't sell the 2010, 6-bolt DMFW directly, so you're looking at $1k for a new one or $100 including shipping to have it resurfaced. The choice was simple to me.

So it's a 6 bolt for ours? I found one made from luk it says for 2010 335i but it's at $580 and I'm finding that a little bit to hard to believe because of the price seems to low

This is correct. When I was looking they were the manufacturer providing OEM replacement DMFW.

Btw, I resurfaced mine on my 08' 335i E93 at about 88k km and with the new clutch, it was smooth as butter and ran like bran spanking new.

Just make sure to get a good mechanic to check it out once it out of the tranny and decide if resurfacing is your best option.

We've had several customers attempt this and the shops did not resurface them correctly and it cost them big time. They ended up paying for labor twice and on more parts. So I always recommend everyone to avoid this route. You seem to be one of the few who were able to correctly get the resurfacing done. The biggest issue is a true resurface that is balanced.

For those looking for a budget friendly solution simply seek out the LUK Flywheel which is an OEM manufacturer of the Dual Mass Flywheel.

Then pick up something like the Spec 2+ or whatever you need from us. Win/Win combo.

I agree. Clutch masters has done a ton of BMW DFMW which is why I shipped mine across the country to get cut.

Ghost, how did you like the results from having your OEM DMFW resurfaced by Clutch Masters? I live about 90 minutes from their shop and am thinking about having them install a new clutch and resurface my fly wheel.

Their resurfacing was picture perfect. Been riding with it for over 10k miles with no issues. With spec 2+ it holds all the power (ACT would slip before) and drives/sounds like stock. I will go tanks route again if/when I need too swap clutches.
