I'd say that it's best when it's integrated with the tune that can retard timing as that's required to build a bit more boost off the line...for example with just WOTbox in the car and RBs I could build about 3psi off the line which is great, much better than vacuum...inside procede, tune pulls a bit of timing too, and that allows a bit higher boost, about 5-6psi it seems but I'm yet to see it happen at 5-6 in a log...I saw it on the dash based boost gauge in shiv's clip but that Gaige has always been wrong/weird at low boost...
I'll definitely bring some logs, pics, vids on it...WOTbox guys deserve it and I'm sure many flash 6MT guys where ffs and 2-step arent available will want this unit... Go FFS!! |

Funny you bring this up. I have been thinking about mixing the DCT functionality with the manual shifting since it's all in the same code base. The hoping being we could have flat foot shifting with the stock ECU. Obviously I have a lot on my plate right now, but it's something I plan to do in the future.
Cheers, Rob |

Alright, been a while...here's some sweet sweet action with the WOTBox plugged in on COBB stage 1 on my car with RB turbos
Just look at that boost not drop to zero AND saves my clutch AND ZERO timing dropouts AND AFR is perfect down to high 11s RIGHT AFTER the shift...no lean spike, rich spike wobble anywhere... Doesn't get better than this, enjoy! just good ol' pump gas.. With meth (not needed at all but I still ran it out of curiosity): With meth one more time: If anyone needs any more examples let me know, I LOVE FFS-ing or NLS-ing lol whatever you call it You can dial in your 2-step launch RPM to whatever you like...it reads RPM from the CPS signal wire...it wires into your clutch, accelerator and the main coil ignition wire that feeds the 6 coils...all in the ecu box...dead easy to wire up.. |

Great thread. Thank you for bring this functionality mainstream. I'm jealous of manuals now.
And, I agree with you that this post is funny. Quote:

Here's some vids on a closed road in Mexico...this is with one passenger, full weight, 19" wheels, no meth, pump gas and full trunk of picnic stuff
LOVE IT! Should be around 420whp given about 12psi at 6k rpm...stage 1 boost curve, as can be seen on the boost gauge, hits 15psi then tapers towards 12 at 6k rpm...not shown in the vid, it'll hit about 9.5-10psi at redline so I shift at around 6krpm...plenty fast for pump gas and safe 4 deg less timing that the stock curve... WOTBox cuts ignition perfectly between shifts with minimal impact to tranny/clutch...money shifts FTW! COBB Stage 2 coming soon |

Resurrecting a dead thread here. I'm trying to install my WOTBox now and can't find the white wire on x6004 that is supposed to be ign coil #1. Can anyone help? Can't be that Dzenno is the only n54 to ever install a WOTBox?

I guess everyone is too busy trying to figure out which DP or exhaust to buy to answer a question that requires even the tiniest bit of knowledge about the car. This forum blows.

You should be able to remove the plastic engine cover and trace the wire straight from the coil or directly connect there. Cylinder 1 should be the first towards the front bumper.

Thanks for your input. I need to intercept it in the ecu box though. I'm pretty sure I know which one it is now. A guy on a different forum is gonna send me a pick of the x6004 connector. Thanks again.
