Can the 330d auto clutch handle the extra power easily? Or will I be looking to upgrade/ replace it soon after?

My last 2 cars I had mapped & had different experiences:

Golf GT TDI : 85k with the map before clutch gave up
Cupra (only a year old after I mapped it): 10k

I've read contradicting views of this.... some say the auto box can, others say not!? I know it will go eventually but would rather it be later, than sooner!

Garage List
Autos don't have clutches.

The box will be fine. There were 'rumours' on hehe about a manual 335d not being made as the gearbox wasn't rated to the torque the thing puts out, but that could well be in the same category as Reece's chassis thing.

No chance, as above an m3 will pull on a stage 1 335d however has a hard time with a stage 2 335d where it's much closer to the point there's not a lot in it.

Get it mapped.

And Russ, my 335d is a "light stage 1" from BW and was still quick enough to win fastest diesel at Santa pod on the day, even against Evolve and DMS mapped cars. Maybe that was down to the driver though.

I only put out 346. Without meth the car can be pushed to 370. With Meth 390+. Jason has worked on a 400+ car for a customer but his own words the guy is a "nutter" haha. He has an F10 M5 and just sold a DCT E92 M3 as well. Also just ordered an F80 M4. He doesn't really care if the car goes pop which naturally means much bigger numbers are achievable

I've run mine for over 2 years remapped now and had no issues in over 20k miles ... Just ask him to load my file up and tweek from there if you want a brilliant and still reliable motor ..

Dave
