just replaced head unit and got it coded, weird gong volume issue

Have a pre lci (07) e91 with professional radio and aux/bluetooth only.

Display was dying a miserable death, so I sprung for a LCI professional radio with USB/Aux/BT

installed everything, got it coded (for hifi, have the new PDC and gong noises).

the gong is really loud, and if i go to adjust it in settings, when i click on the gong volume setting the entire system gets really loud as in... crap-your-pants-if-you're-not-expecting-it loud. Adjusting the volume of the gong doesn't do anything. The only way to get it back to normal is to push the "audio" button again.

not that i would be touching either PDC or Gong volume setting often, but it WOULD be nice to be able to adjust it...or...at a minimum somehow make it so i don't have a "pucker up" moment if i (or someone else fiddling with it) happens to touch either of those volume settings.

Does that make sense...is it a bit off, or is it me?

Maybe the headunit is still coded for base

Can you read the rad2 or 2urad module?
