Weird beep noise

My car makes weird beep noises from the speakers everyday. It beeps by 3s. It goes beep beep beeeeeeeeeep. Kind of sound like the emergency alert on the tv. Does anyone know why I would hear this beeping sound ?

does it happen just once or does it keep happening until you shut the car off? does the volume knob affect it?

It's happens almost every hour. It doesn't bother me as much as before but I'm very curious what it is.

My initial thought was a shorted speaker wire somewhere. That would cause a high pitched screeching, though.

It's just linking with the NSA satellite tracking server, nothing to worry about.

This is full hour reminder. At every full hour (at 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 etc.. ) it beeps 3 times. There is a setting in idrive menu where you can enable/disable this function.

yeah after you said that I started to look at the time whenever it beeps and it beeps every hour at ..:56 oclock
