Coupe Boot Pop up or Shoot up?

Hopefully an easy question…. car is 2006 e92 325i

when you press your key fob does your boot just pop the lock…..or does the boot flip right open?

seen some cars flip right open and seen some like mine just pop the lock….

thanks

It only pops lock I've never seen an e9x that lifts the lid.

+1 it's only the 5 and others that lift/open the boot.

I did once read that the gas struts could be changed to allow this, but not sure if it was ever done and was a success or not.

For the record, the current pop is an unnecessary feature in my opinion and I would far prefer the full open option!

Oh man, hope those are isolated incidents. I'll search around too, but this is the only car I've had that uses gas tubes and it was a bit disheartening to learn it doesn't at least open a quarter; I used to have cars with spring tensioners and miss having it either pop all the way open or at least able to fling it open the rest of the way with your finger, especially when you have a handful of stuff.

A guy in Ireland makes kits for the e46 and e90, not sure if an e92 option is on the way? You could check with him.

I believe from another forum E90 option will be available from April, its in production now after successful testing.
