So.... in the interest of saving a few hundred bucks to a grand, would it be okay to install a new clutch without a new OEM flywheel, and maybe having it resurfaced at Clutch Masters at most? Then if after a few hundred miles, if it's determined that it is absolutely necessary to replace the DMFW, to do it then? Like with brakes, it's not a problem to replace worn rotors with new ones with only slightly used brake pads. That's my thought. What's yours?
And I do plan to purchase the upgraded, remanufactured N54 (8 bolt) OEM clutch from our friends at ECS Tuning. I live about a 90 minute drive from Clutch Masters and can maybe just have them perform the install and DMFW resurfacing or replacement. Thanks.

By the way, I called Clutch Masters and they are just a store that sells clutches and related parts. The flywheel resurfacing might be done there, but more likely at a local machine shop. I'm going to just look around here for a local shop that has good experience in dual mass flywheel resurfacing.

I will be giving this clutch a shot soon, anything under 4K tip ins on my car and it slips. I'm FBO and the car will be getting some sticky rear tires for straight line track purposes. Will report once up, running, and tested.

Curious about this clutch also, as of right now I believe mine is fine but I will be getting a PTF E-tune with walbro to run full E85 and i don't want to go to a single mass flywheel but need something that will hold the power for decent price.
