Think it's time I got my 330d remapped.
I'm from Shrewsbury. Where would be the best place that's not miles away?

231 or 245??? I'll be interested to hear your thoughts after it's done, just picked up a 330d already looking to spice it up a bit more

Emaps is ok but not a lot of power compared with some, personally I would get it from some where else but depends what your after

I had my 330d 245ps remapped by DMS - it went to 305bhp and was a superb map. It made the car smoother than standard and very quick. DMS were excellent but are dearer than others. I paid £595. On my 330d - being an LCI - it was an ECU out job.

I'd be interested in hearing how you get on too. My turbo seems to bite at 2500 revs which is quite high for diesel, so not too often that I get there. I want more low down, turbo to spool up earlier.

I had my 330d done there last summer - the remap is brilliant, but the customer service was simply outstanding. Very highly recommended.

Simon from e-maps is my shout, though I rate DMS highly too but they do charge approximately double.

Had my DPF delete and live map done by these guys.

Your cars in safe hands with Simon, reputation is very strong, he certainly wouldn't risk his reputation(quite rightly)in pursuit of all out power.

Shame when I asked emaps about a remap he could not give me answer to my specific questions which made me believe he just installs a generic map and does not understand whats actually happening.

Also on that power comment surely if you have a 330d or 335d your not after economy otherwise you would buy a horrible 318d! If you have a 330 or 335d power is your aim. Sure is for me, no point messing with a 3.0d for economy.

I gained 60 horses AND 3 mpg through my remap So it's a moot point ...

Yes but don't gain the 3mpg whilst using the extra 60 horses.

You only gain mpg if you don't use the extra bhp..

OP AFAIK Emaps just install generic maps from overseas.

From Shrewsbury Defo ptorque in Wolverhampton . Much better to be near you for any problems etc. They include rolling road time to do it properly.

In that case definitely speak to Will at P-torque.

He does all his own cracking, coding and development. IIRC he was the first to crack the "uncrackable encrypted" E9x LCI diesel ECUs from 2009 ish, so he is a veritable expert on the 20d and 30d motors.

P Torque as discussed had my A4 done there few weeks ago now got 195bhp from the little 140bhp engine with 325 Pound of torque aswell

Try AP Automotive in Telford. They've done a few Bm's around here including my 335i.

Handy that he is also ex BMW Tech, may be worth a try
