Talking E-mail offer sent

Ok well I just e-mailed my offer for a 35 Cab for ED pick-up on May 2, 2008 about 5-mins ago.

AW with Red Coral Leather and light poplar trim
Step (I know I'm a loser) and peddles
PP, SP, CA, Ipod and Destination

Offer was for low $$$$ over invoice plus tax, lic & fees.

I told him that I was prepared to order immediately and provide a credit card number for the deposit.

We'll see what happens.

Do you always have to wait that long on the Euro Delivery?

Nope 3-mths is usually sufficient, but with the Conv and demand for the 335 and more people doing EDs, it doesn't hurt to start earlier. The dealer just banks the order until they're ready to submit it.

Also starting early gives you a better chance of getting your requested pick-up date. Also I'm using miles, so have to book early.

Update

Ok we agreed on a price today. It's not the greatest, but could be worse and I get to continue using my dealership. Let's just say it's <$1.5K over ED invoice.

Easy dealing, total of 4-e-mails and we came to a mutually agreeable price.

I need to update my siggy now.

Thanks...LOL when did you sign-up here and what took you so long? Are you going to be a dealers sponsor here too?

Congrats on the deal! A discount on any convertible is always impressive.

You pieced together what will be a beautiful car.

Thanks. I really wanted Montego, but since you can only get the black, beige or gray leather interior. Black is a bit too hot for me and beige is too light for a convertible with all the dust when driving top-down. And I already have the gray, so AW/w coral red by default.

I had a 28 loaner and I just didn't like the pick-up on it. My test is always the Waldo Grade coming SB on 101 from Marin City up over the hill, through the tunnel and down to the GGB.

In my 30, I don't have to give it extra gas and it'll maintain the speed (72-75 typically) up the grade while other cars clearly lag and struggle up the grade. I drove the loaner and could feel it straining to maintain the speed. Plus I was also concerned with the extra weight of the hardtop that it would be worse on the Cab.

I still wish they just made the turbo an option and kept the 255 HP engine of the 30.

I'm sure you'll enjoy your choice and I'll have to agree that the 330 motor would have paired well with the E92.
