Titanium Silver 335i wheels?
Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum but I have had my 2011 e90 335i for a year and I have done some mods on it and am ready for some new rims. I am thinking VMRs 710s. I have 225/45 R17 on all with Contipro Contact SSR tires. So my questions are: what color rim? staggered and if so how much? size of rim? What tires to get fitted/how? I also plan to get the windows tinted around 40% all around if that will make an aesthetic difference to the rim color/match. Thanks |

Yeah I had seen it before but I just wanted some personal input on my vehicle.
It seems my rims are 17 inch. The tire says R17 but when I measure the rim with a tape measure it comes to 18. I don't know which measurement I should go with. I am thinking I want the Gunmetal VMR 710s staggered 8.5/9.5 18". But I talked to a service guy today and he said that I would have to worry about the tire tread. It is 40 now but he was saying I might have to increase it to 50 or so if I increase the wheel size because of potential fender problems or pothole bubble problems. Is this the case? |

If it's R17, then you have 17's.
You will be able to run the standard setup of 225/40 18 up front and 255/35 18 in the back. As for color, that's tough. I have a TiAg LCI E90 identical to yours. I ultimately chose a mix. Gunmetal and machine faced. I think hypersilver is classy, but to me it washes out with all that silver. Looks awesome, but not enough contrast. Then, you get black wheels, which to me look meh on a TiAg E90. So there lies gunmetal. Just begging to be on a silver car. I think that color, or the machine faced, with black in the back like the AG 359's look insanely good on our cars. Here's what I chose. ![]()

Thanks F-16.
So as for rims, that would be a 8.5/9.5 or 9/10? The AG rims look pretty sick but they are priced a bit over my limit. I do like the machine faced gunmetal color a ton but with that, style, and size, I become limited in my options. VMR is the company I'm looking at but they offer silver, gunmetal, and matte. I prefer the machined look but I guess gunmetal will have to do if I get VMRs. What are some good tires for the price?

Yes 8.5 and 9.5.
Tirerack.com is always a good place. Michelin PSS's are what rocks. Pilot Super Sports. For sale section on here has people getting rid of 18's all the time when they upgrade. There's cheaper options like the Continental DWS which are still very good tires. If used at all for winter, don't even think of using these in bad weather. They're summer tires.

Ok cool. Thanks. I think I am going to go with gunmetal machine faced and as for tires I will do summer tires and look at the sale section on here.
Thanks so much.
