Quad lock fitment woes...
Evening all,
So, just finished fitting a Gladen kit and 120.4DSP - so far so good. The one question I have is how, for the love of all that is good and great do you get the feckin head unit back in once the harness has been attached !?!?!? I have tried, and I sh!t you not, for the past 3 hours. I have lost more skin off my knuckles that I care to mention and can see no way that it will fit ? The system sounds awesome, it's just my dash is looking...well... a little ghetto !! lol ! What are peoples tips, tricks and advice please before I admit defeat and go to a fitters ? ANY advice warmly welcomed - cheers Ollie |

Have you tried the tip shown here which uses a loop of wire to pull the quadralock connector back?

cheers, I'll give it a go. Spent another 1/2hr this morning. Starting to think it may be money well spent going to my local fitter before I need a skin graft on my hands and wrists!

Another suggestion is to remove the screws holding the cage in place so that you can slide it forward a bit to make more room for the quadralock to pass out the back of the cage. Then refit the cage screws before sliding the HU back in.
Let us know how you get on because I will be attempting this soon. |

asked at local fitters and they said they take the glove box out for access so I will try that too.... or they said they could do it for their minimum charge ... £90...I thanked them and walked out. £90 FFS !
