rear bushes

heard a bit of a clunk noise while driving on the mway and taking a left hand slip road at speed.seemed to come from the rear driver side, pulled over to check for damage but nothing seemed amiss so carried on without problem.on checking later i noticed the rear drivers side sits lower over the tyre.i have taken wheel off to check for broken spring and it seems fine but while checking bushes, the one that sits in the rear axle looks worn as the bolt going through the rubber part of the bush is not central and sits lower.hope someone can help identify the bush(i think it may be a roll over strut bush, havin looked on realoem)and wether its an easy job to remove.cheers for any advice

It's the lower camber arm that the spring and shock sit on. But I had the car on the ramps today and nothing looks out of place or worn but still the drivers side rear suspension sits lower so can't see what the problem may be. Hope someone can assist

open the trunk and push down hard in the trunk to replicate and locate the clunk.

See my thread from a few weeks ago..

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=957775

I noticed the same thing but a quick search on this forum and on google (and a word with my local indy - ex bmw employee) confirmed that BMW design it this way for the left hand drive to counter balance the Driver's weight but never amended it for RH drive.

Nothing to worry about!
