Hello, ive bought a E90 recently and have noticed that it has a grid/ tray on the rear parcel shelf, im guessing its meant to blow up air from this vent to demist the rear window, am i correct?

Mine is not working though, any help would be appreciated guys.
The lines on the rear window only work.

the defroster is an electric element in the glass . .that vent on the shelf is to equalize pressure when you close the door or trunk.

As above that's not a demister vent.
