I believe it. I've seen 2.2 60' times still result in mid 11s with the C6 Z06.

I think I'd be afraid of an '08 M6 that was only $35k. That's really what they run?

You're comparing two vehicles made for two different purposes. What are you trying to do? Do you want a typical "sports car" or are you looking for a powerful GT car? This isn't a true comparison. Be honest with yourself, determine what you really want, and then go look for it.
BTW, the Z06 was bred to be a "budget supercar", able to beat the likes of Ferrari, Lambo, etc, but costing 50% less. The M6 was bred to be an elite GT car, comparing with the likes of Aston, Jag, etc. You're really comparing apples and oranges here.

From my point of view however, Maserati is nowhere near BMW and I am not talking as a fanboi. Aston, yes, that is a different car. Back on topic, I will go for the M6. Corvette is nice but I don't see that car as a daily driver. They don't compare anyway, twoseater versus four seats, etc. |

I was actually going to get a E60 M5 but the poor gas mileage and reliability issues I read about steered me away so I went with a z06. They weren't exactly apples to apples but it was a case of get a practical sedan that's fast or just get the super car and be done with it. Plus i still get about 20 MPG average |

I am voting for the M6. That V10 screams exotic and even better if you can find a 6 speed manual. I have been checking the preowned market for quite a while, but no luck for me so far.

If you spend 35K on M6 it will cost at least another 10K in maint over 3y. Since you have fam you will have enough room and when you are alone you have a toy. Any repairs will be covered by OEM and you are good for the duration of the lease and have an option to buy it. This is what I would do. If you want an exotic car, M6 is not it. I turn my had when I see MB CLS but M6 I shake my head as I think they are ugly. |
