and that is why I did walk away from my deal, was worry that one day it will be honored and the next day it will not be and maybe that is why the prices of US models are more attractive

ha ha, yes, they don't like seeing people that got the same car for much less and took their profits away from the dealer here in canada that big thing few years back when they all said they will not honor any warranties on vehicles from US.
anyway OP, call the dealer and see if you can get the extended warranty in place, my friend just did that even tho her original warranty already expired and they allowed her to purchase the extended warranty, mind you her car was bought at that dealer.
Good luck

I leased the car for 4 years, the lease will be finished in August, i have the option of buying it for $19,000 + HST.. It's 2008 and when I got the car in 2010, there was 54 k on it.

Garage List
2018 BMW M3 CS  [0.00]
I bought my car in the U.S. and the warranty gets transferred over. This is fact and any dealership that says otherwise is full of crap. Call BMW Canada and they'll even tell you. The maintenance does not. But no big deal. If I need maintenance work done I drive 90 minutes to Buffalo and get it done there. And the U.S. maintenance covers brakes as well.

Might want to check out any local deals in the upcoming months, they will be clearing out the 2014s with decent incentives.

No you didn't lease it from a dealership, you leased it from some independent car sales lot not affiliated with a manufacturer.

Here is a definition of "dealership"

A car dealership or vehicle local distribution is a business that sells new or used cars at the retail level, based on a dealership contract with an automaker or its sales subsidiary.
