To clear up any confusion and typos, post what you discovered that the actual wheel widths are front and rear as well as your current tire size (s).

So I found out these are 17 inch style 286 OEM wheels. They are indeed staggered with the bigger wheels being a 1/2 inch different in width. They do come on sport 328i.

Sadly I found this out after I had tires mounted in square setup fashion. Is there anyway to measure their width once mounted? I have a feeling costco didn't catch the 1/2 difference and who know where they mounted each tire. I could have one larger wheel up front and one in the back.

I can assure you that your door jam does not state that. Many people mis-read the numbers "2" and "5" for some reason so you may have written the info down incorrectly.

Do you own a measuring tape? That might be a good place to start...Either that or get the wheels off and/or get under the car to look on the inside of the spokes to see what the specs say.

This issue doesn't exactly require the expertise of a rocket surgeon to solve.

Staggered is fine for summer/ performance setups.

That said, I would get a set of 18" stockers squared for winter.

Give us pictures of the entire car. (The dead give aways are the seats and steering wheel)
