Found some lugs at a good price, need sizing input
Hey guys, I just picked up some spacers and want to install them on my 07 335i. I got 10mm front and 15 rear, so by my calculations that means I'd be optimally installing 38mm bolts up front and 43mm rear (stock size is 28mm)
Now, my question is how to err... on the side of short or long? Too long and they start contacting stuff behind the wheel, too short and they won't support your wheels as well (especially worrying when they're even further out than stock). Do I go 40/45mm and err on the side of 2mm too long, hopefully not contacting anything I shouldn't be? Or do I go 35/40 and hope the 3mm short doesn't let a wheel loose under load ![]() I can't think 2mm would affect much, but somebody out there knows better than I how close the fit is back there! Appreciate the input guys! btw, here's the lugs I'm looking at. Great price for <$40 delivered for all 4 wheels! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...A3PIXOPL8QYKWO http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...A3PIXOPL8QYKWO |

this looks like TMS uses a 35mm for 10mm spacers? seems on the short side, no?
looks like a 43 on the 15, so they're definitely erring on the low side. I wonder if there really are contact issues even pushing a few mm past stock length? http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-12...-see-list.aspx bolt for 10mm wheel spacer (#TWH995135B) bolt for 15mm wheel spacer (#TWH995143B) |
