Hi All,

Sorry relatively new to BMW's and have searched for the answer but don't seem to be getting anywhere.

so I have a 335d 2007 with 19's on there its currently got

225 35 19 on the Front
255 30 19 on the Rear

Can I put 255 35 19 on the Rear without any issues?

Why does it have 255 30's on the rear anyway?

I have 255/35 on the rear and they're fine.

30 is the profile.

And its not millimeters as everyone think. It is a percentage of the width


So 255 x 0.3 = 76.5
225 x 0.35 = 78.75

Quite close


Wheras 255 x 0.35 = 89.25


So its miles off. Will look like a wagon wheel in other words

And it has different widths as bmw's are rwd and run staggered wheels (wider rears)

Well most of the more powerful models do

The reason i'm asking, i can't seem to find vredestein ultrac sessanta in 255 30 19.

I'm used to run them on my S3 and like the way they handle.

what would you recommend? I am quiet hard on my tyres i enjoy some spirited driving.

On the inside of the door it does say 255 30 19 on the rear

Move up a size for the tyres.

265/30/19 rear
235/35/19 front

I found the tyres were actually cheaper by going wider

could go 265,there is only 6mm in it

I've just put a set of Vredestein Ultrac Vorti on mine in 235/35/19 on the front and 265/30/19 on the back cracking tires

265's are good with 235 front goodyear do an excellent tyre at a good price

Any rubbing issues with these sizes ? Also what load rating at the fronts are they available in 88y like the standard spec ?
