Regarding Wide Body's... how wide?

Hey guys... I've been toying with the idea of building a custom wide body for a friend's e92... and the question now is... how wide?

I would like for the WB to follow the lines of the car, to make it look like it actually belongs in the car, without making it too obvious.

would 2" be enough?

I would go a hair wider than an m3 at most. That should be just over an inch on each side.
