Please help weird sound coming from car

my n54 6 speed 335i has this sound coming from the rear of the car that sounds like a rotating sound/clicking sound. It sounds like its near the diff or trans. The sound speeds up as the car accelerates. any help is appreciated.

thanks guy

here is a link to the video with the sound.

You hear it at second 15 when i put the phone in the rear seat.

it also sound like this guys reverse issue.

Is will double check that tomorrow when I go back to my garage. Anything else you think it could be ? I am going to take a go pro video of it soon to get ideas. I know I need a new fly wheel but I def don't think it's that. Could is possibly be a part getting used to the ride height? I don't feel like that's plausible though.

Thanks for helping man

possible but you wouldn't hear any noise until there was compression or rebound in the suspension. from the videos you posted it sounds like it correlates with the rotation of a wheel.

if it gets louder and higher frequency as you accelerate, it may be a wheel bearing. but hopefully it's just a loose lug bolt.

Look up "bad wheel bearing" on YouTube and listen. Hard to describe on here other than it's speed dependent and it'll get louder and the frequency will increase as you go faster.

i am not sure if its that sound because it is not a constant sound. Its like 2 times a second, almost like if a rock is in your tire.

yeah, doesn't sound like a wheel bearing. sounds more like a dust shield is being struck by something at a regular rate. any pics of the brakes or other bits through the wheel?

ya i still have yet to fix it, i think it is just the the pads rubbing on the rotor. Just need to take it to a mech. to have it adjusted.
